    Harddrive Question

Hello all, I thinking of buying this Western Digital for storage only.

It saids that it spins at 5400 to 7200 rpm. My OS drive is a Raptor which spins at 10,000 rpms. I have other storage drives that spin 7200 rpms only and work with no problems. My question is, do you think I might run into problems because this HD spins a various speeds?

Second question. Is there a limit on the amount of storage space one can have on their PC? As to say that the OS drive will be able to see. Right now I have two 750s and two 300s for storage and looking to add another 750. I thought I read something about this somewhere but can't remember where. I believe it said you were limited to just so many terabytes (not positive though). Thank you

the limit would be for the size of a partition

that would make a nice esata drive

        Thank you gents.
My PSU is a thermaltake 750w. That should be enough right?

Chewy forgive me, but what is esata? I heard of sata and sataII.

all hard drives spin at various speeds its not a constant linear velocity as the outer edge data would be traveling faster so the the drives reach a max of 7200, and all the motors nowadays auto spin down when not in use

I personally like that WD drive as over the course of a year it ll use a lot less power as for most applications do not demand the speed of a 7200 unless heavy reads/writes are being performed
