    XMpeg

I cannot install XMpeg after reformatting my Win98 computer, eventhought I downloaded again from Doom9. Actually, it's the same problem with my backup XMpeg file:Garbage in some sort of EasternEuropean language. I deleted all the languages in the "Lang" file except English, then it tell me that the plugin did not load. Anybody can help? Thanks.

    I've exactly the same problem.

computer 1: PIII 650 MHz 64 RAM, matrox G200, Win 98 (the one at work before someone will complain about the video card )
    computer 2: athlon 1.2 GHz 256 RAM, TNT2, Win98

Xmpeg 4.2a works fine on my PIII. On my athlon I installed Flaskmpeg 0.60 and that works fine. But if I install Xmpeg 4.2a after that I get the same crap as you got.

What system do you have and have you installed Flaskmpeg 0.60/0.594 before it?

I did install XMpeg and was using it beautifully until I had to reformatted my C drive. I had the XMpeg folder in the D drive. I actually reformatted my C drive once already, 2 days ago, and after that XMpeg worked fine. I had to redo the formatting yesterday, and the problem with XMped started. I downloaded a new copy from the Internet, still same problem. What gives? Also, before all these problems, the XMpeg resul was shown as avi. by Win Media Player with all details and a preview tag. Now I only get the general tag in that view, which only show the size all the file, but not the lenght, the encoding detail of the video and audio file separately. Anybody can help? My system is Athlon 1Ghz, 256 MB RAM, Win 98,ATI Radeon 64 Meg Video.

I don't know what happened but this afternoon, when I turned on my computer, XMpeg worked again. I hope that it will last.

To Wilbert: I think the problem was the way Win Media Player is configured. If you have ver.7.01. Go to format, deselect all detection except videofile. May be the way WinPlayer appropriate the other videofile interfere with the installation of plugins. Goodluck. I used my copy of XMpeg last night withoout problem.

I tried that yesterday (with WM 6.4) and it didn't work.

Btw, that crap I got is the following:

            "FlasKMPEG Verejtje

            Ekziston nje problem gjate ngarkimit
te plugins ose nuk ekziston nje i tille.
            Ju lutem, kontrolloni instalimin.
            Lexoni dokumentin.

            Programi do te mbyllet."

            Anyone knows what this means?

Ok, it was quite simple to get the translation. I looked into the file "albanian.lang.flask" and on line 418 I found (comparing it with "english.lang.flask":

              ______
#418# "There was a problem loading the plugins or output plugins were found. Please, check the installation and read the manual.

              Program will exit."
              ______

What does the second part mean: ... or output plugins were found. What are output plugins ?

I think they made a mistake. Comparing it with the dutch translation the last part means:

"<...> or no output plugins were found. <...>"

I still don't understand it though.
