    NewEgg? OMG!

I was looking for some opinions about new egg from my fellow forum members. Have you guys bought from there? What was your story/experience? Do you plan on buying again?

I just wanted to get everything in perspective before I make a purchase of 1000 dollars. Thanks

I often do business with newegg, I buy mostly from them. They always seem have the best prices. Their return polices are really good from my experiences. If you ever have a problem with them, you usually can talk them into giving you free shipping or a discount on your next order. You would have to call them. If the operator won't give you a deal then ask to speak with a supervisior.

Heck if I were you, since your spending that much money. I would place the order over the phone and ask them to give you free shipping. It never hurts to ask.

All in all I would have to say the egg is the best bang for your buck. Good luck.

P.S. who's that funny looking lady in your avatar. lol

Newegg is well known & well respected around here. Great selection, just about the best prices anywhere. I have bought a lot from there, & I only had to RMA an item once or twice, & they were very easy to work with.

Newegg is well respected, has quick delivery and very very good about returns...
Prices are normally in the lower medium area but many many times what you may need has a good shot of being on sale at any time....

I have not purchased anything from newegg it has very good prices and support. You can also take a look at microcenter. They also have good prices and good support.

In my opinion the egg usually beats Tiger in prices. Though not always, I recently bought a 1TB HD from TigerDirect who at that time were $10 cheaper. A couple of days later Newegg advertised the same drive with a $10 coupon to match the price.

I agree with rago88 about Newegg have sales on the item you need. If your building a PC and your not in a hurry. I would buy most of the components when they go on sell or free shipping or in a combo deal. I made this mistake when I build my PC, I was in too much a hurry. Either way shop around their both solid companies.

I have purchased from them as well; they may be on close to equal footing with the egg. What I usually do is go to pricewatch & do a search for the item(s) from there.

I have purchased from many different online retailers, & have had pretty good success across the board. Since we are naming names here, I purchased a cpu from 3btech a few months ago; They sent me the wrong one. When I called them about it, they said it was an incorrect listing on their site.

If I wasn't looking closely, I would have put it in & not gave it a second thought, but I did catch a tiny detail between 1 & 2 mb cache on the cpu I had ordered. They made it right with a refund, no problem.

The whole situation just felt "odd" though. The cpu had been opened & they had written the incorrect info on it with sharpie marker. I didn't really like that, almost felt dishonest to me...but I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

They do have very good pricing most of the time; so does starmicro.net.

                  Hi Abel,

1st of all welcome aboard ... btw, I LOVE your Avatar ...

I bought my BenQ from them when they were selling them ... and they were quick and easy. I have never bought from TigerDirect ... but I hear they have good prices.

I am with Katz ... whoever gives me the BEST deal ... I am going with them.

Wish NewEgg could around the TAX deal ... but you are basically SOL'ed if you do business in California (pronounced as Arnold says it ... just sounds better).

                  G!

i've always bought everything from newegg. i like them. usually 9/10 times i get the products sooner then expected.

i once bought a new motherboard from tiger. found a better one on new egg for the same price.

                    still saddens me.
