Rented some more movies from Blockbuster. The terminator Salvation disc has RENTAL printed at the bottom of the disk, and there was no menu to select like the extras or a directors editorial. So I do not know why Warner Brothers put this type restriction on the disc. It is also for the Canadian or US markets only. Found this all very strange.

Didn't know they have this kind of Blu-ray discs, but the DVD rental only types were quite common, although people often still wanted to rent the version with the extra features. It's all designed to help studios sell more movies, but they can't stop Netflix and other rental places from renting out the "full" version.

did you try disc or pop-up menu?
