Slideshow Program

A little guidance please. I have hundreds of pics on my hard drive, I have used Nero a few times and am not crazy about it, Does anyone have any suggestions as to a good program that makes a slideshow with extras such as music etc. Free is good but will be glad to pay for a descent one. T.I.A.

For a free solution, the most popular one seems to be DVD Slideshow GUI, but I'm not quite sure it is what you're looking for, since it does take a bit of patience to produce exactly what you want (Nero is probably a bit easier to use too). Here's a slightly outdated guide for it:

For commercial solutions, the major slideshow software makers are Cyberlink (PowerProducer), Nero (of course), and TMPGEnc (TMPGEnc Authoring Works) software.
