    FNG, computer stoopid, DVDShrink issue

I have an issue with DVDShrink I'd like to resolve, actually several. I'm not very computer saavy, and this is an understatement.

I've been using DVDShrink for years with few problems. Tonight I ran into one which I cannot solve. I have been burning some discs for a friend (already compressed from my discs, burned from DVDShrink, no compression necessary). I keep getting a message which says "Out of memory" "The parameter is incorrect."

I've done nothing different than I ever have, although this computer is a bit newer, it's almost a year old. My hard drive space is over 80% free. I've tried rebooting & shutting down background prorams to no avail.

Any help would be most appreciated.

If you original disc isn't encrypted, and you don't need re-compression, then you can use any DVD burning tool to copy the disc. I would recommend ImgBurn. It's very easy to use, but this guide is very helpful to get you started (on making copies of DVD video discs):

(note that if you need to make more than one copy, it may be better to create an image of the original DVD on your hard-drive and then burn copies of that image: How to copy a disc using ImgBurn - ImgBurn Support Forum)

I use DvdShrink to rip a lot of discs, usually ones needing compression. I've put my Netflix on hold until I can get this problem straightened out.

Getting DvdShrink to find my files is another problem I'm having. I can get a dvd ripped to my computer but I can't get DvdShrink to find/open the files.

I'll check out ImgBurn too, but I'd like to get DvdShrink back to working again.

Well, now I find I can burn other discs in the series (not the first 2) but often I get an error message saying "failed to delete temp files." If I stop the disc every 10% (encoding) or so, I can get it to burn the disc. Sometimes I have to try the same disc 5-6 times.

DvdShrink is getting weird on me, its never done this before & I've used it for years. Thinking of removing it & re-installing it.

After burning 4 other discs I tried the original 2 with the same "parameter incorrect" & "out of memory" errors. Arrgh.
