    i would highly recommend NOT burning 2 DVD's at once, especially if both drives are on the same IDE cable... thats probably the problem. i've heard of others trying to burn 2 DVD's at once (i never burn 2 DVD"s at once) and they have problems as well. if theyre on the same IDE cable, they share a single channel, reducing the performance of both drives (if theyre both being used). if theyre on separate cables, it would probably help, but i would still recommend not burning 2 DVD's at the same time.

        I did find this in an older link on DVF/ referring to media not compatible with the burner;
        "Disc Manufacturer: -
        Disc Application Code: 64, Disc Physical Code: 193"

        It appears that your burner doesn't "recognize" the media you were trying to burn. Was it something other than you had previously successfully used?
        Disc Application Code: 64, Disc Physical Code: 193
        Firmware is up to date on the TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552B>Version: TS12

        If you want to try the Pioneer, the firmware link is http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2220
        Verify that this is the correct firmware befor flashing!

        regards, katz
