    stats-file / nandub

I made a video using nandub (2-pass) and it's a little bit to big after cutting the end-credits. Now I want to reencode the intro with a lower bitrate. Can I use the stats-file that was calculated for the whole movie and use it for the first few minutes of the video or do I have to calc a new one? Also is it possible to use the stats-file that is calculated for the whole movie as a stats-file for any part of the movie (a part in the middle or at the end)? I searched around in the jobs-file, but there seems to be not much control over the stats-file.

as long as you dont change settings like resolution or add/use different filter, there's nothing wrong with using the former stats-file!

The problem is that I change the number of frames. I tried it on a 90min-movie and encoded the first 5 min again using the old stats file. The resulting bitrate differed more than 30% from the wanted. That's something that never happened when making a new stats-file. Maybe somebody has any information about the fileformat of the stats-file.
Even more difficult seems to use the stats-file if you i.e. encode from frame 1000 to 2000 instead of 0 to 4000. I think nandub can't match the stats-info with the different frames.
