    audio/video out of sync

When I finish encoding a movie, the beginning is perfect, but by the end of the movie the audio gets to be almost a second sometimes before the video.

I first assumed that it was my processer lagging behind a bit, but after a fresh restart, I scroll to the end of the movie and it is still out of sync, meanwhile the beginning is still perfect.

I would assume has something to do with the encoding, but im not entirely sure.

Could it be that my processer cant keep up with a full 2-pass encoding using DivX 5.02 (w/ B-frames and GMC enabled)?

Does anyone know of any possible problems (or solutions)?

    Thanks in advance
    Chris

Using DivX 5.02 (w/ B-frames and GMC enabled) 2-pass and MP3 audio encoded using BeSweet muxed with Virtual Dub.

It is possible using an inferior encoder that you changed frame rates and it interleaved audio by frames. There are programs that will fix the progressive audio sync problem.

I have never myself used one.

    I hope this helps
