    Ripped DVD only shows half screen on DVD player

    I've ripped a film using DVD decrypter, then dvd2avi then TMPGEnc.
    Burned vcd using Nero and it plays fine on my PC but in my DVD player it flashes quickly (in colour) and is only in the left hand side of the tele - i.e. I'm only seeing the right half of the film..

    Any ideas??

      Under TMPGEnc, make certain that settings under both the "Video" and "Advanced" (set to "Center - Custom Size") tabs are 352x240 (NTSC) or 352x288 (PAL)...

          Cheers, I'll try that. I don't usually set to centre.
          It's a PAL, 16:9. What is 16:9 Display as opposed to 16:9 PAL or NTSC?
          Why does it miss the left on my player? It's OK on PC..
