File Size, just curious......

I was just curious if there is a way to reduce the file size when converting to a mpeg ? Is there certain settings you can change in TMPGNec ? Like bitrate ?, even if you lose a little picture quality, it would be nice to fit a movie on just 1 CD-R.

Any suggestions would be helpful ?

Even if there is something you can do to the avi before you convert it to a mpeg .

If that were possible on a consistent basis, DivX never would have "taken off" the way it has. Other than for extremely short movies (80 minutes or less on ordinary CD-Rs), you'll find yourself needing two CD-rs. MPEG1 compression is about 1/2 that of DivX.
