WinDVD with DivX support

dont know if anyone picked up on this yet but Intervideo just released WinDVD platinum with DivX support. i believe it supports 4.0 up to 5.0.2, from what i read theirs no support for 3.11.

oh and also a couple companies have signed on to the DivX Fanboat and made deals with DivXnetworks to put support for DivX in Home Theatre DVD players.

Ive been waiting for this to happen. it was only a matter of time.

Starting with WinDVD v.3.0, it has happily played DivX-compressed .AVIs - INCLUDING v.3.11...

(I don't have WinDVD Platinum, so it's possible that this version has dropped support for v.3.11 files - but I'd be surprised)
