    VBR MP3 in AVI not a good idea?

    I have read in a page that this can cause problems...
    I dont understand very well the explanatiooon, but it is here:

    In question 14...

    Any opinions here?

    Whatever they want to say, muxing VBR MP3 in nandub works well enough.

    'nuff said.

      Using AVR with VirtualDub instead would be safer?
      The only downside of this is that I cannot use LAME presets... but, it might be better this way

        i never used vbr.
        in addition to what i read in that posting vbr is said to sometimes cause little stuttering..

        i cant complain about decently made cbr mp3s (like described in my guide) - and for low bitrate ogg is a much better choice anyway!

          I use the LAME --alt-preset standard for most of my movies and mux them in nandub. No problem at all.
