I love lots of genres but I've choosen action-movies; With that I mean MI2, Enemy of the State,...

But why isn't the genre 'Classics' in the poll. I think the best movie ever made is Ben Hur ('58/'59). A long movie in super wide screen format (2.70:1), 11 oscars,...

Yeh, Ben Hur rules. And the DVD version I own is the best old film to DVD conversion I have ever seen. It even looks better than a lot new movies on DVD.

            Ben Hur

Yep, the conversion is magnificent! There's no single frame in the movie where you can see a black spot.
I wonder how they managed to save the original tape so good or do they just have supercomputers with superprograms which can restore the quality?

I tend to like dramas, especially tragedies, and psychological thrillers, like Girl Interrupted, Requiem For A Dream and Dancer In The Dark. I like comedies if they're not too tacky, like But I'm A Cheerleader. I don't generally like action movies, I thought Independence day was crap, but the Matrix is good, I guess it has quite a broad appeal, The Matrix is more than a mere action flick. I don't like romances unless they're intelligent, in which case I like them a lot, like Cruel Intentions.

I really want to buy up all the Buffy box sets but it's a bit out of my price league right now.

why only one?... I love sci fi, action, adventure, comedy... almost all the genre. I must say that my favorite is the Star Wars Saga (all of them), it really rule for me!

Well... I must say I love movies!!

Well my local rental library seems to think that it does, so I guess it must.

Actually, the main thing that's stopping me from building up a big collection of the above mentioned category is a consciousness of something that happened to one of the characters in Queer As Folk - if you've seen it, you'll know what I mean.

Well, it's not really central to the plot, so might as well say. There's this bloke, one of the incidental characters so I don't remember the name, he's never done cocaine before but brings someone back to his flat who's really into it. So he tries it for the first time, has an adverse reaction and it kills him. His parents have absolutely no idea he's gay, though, until the police call them to the flat and they discover his porn collection!

Well, they manage to make it funny in the show, anyway, there are a few heavy moments like this but both series 1 and 2 are full of laughs, I'd recommend it.
