    Default Large signature graphics

I've noticed that some of you have some pretty large graphics as part of your signature. I am not too concerned about this, since most of you are long time/trusted members. However, I am a little concerned if new users, seeing the graphics as examples, and start using ever larger and larger graphics as part of their signatures.

There is already a limit on the dimensions of avatars, and also size limits on attached pics. This is why I am considering setting a size limit on signatures, perhaps limited to 234 x 60.

    Any comments?

I think it's necessary simply because in the end people will end up having "signature-contests" (mine's bigger than yours etc...).

On another forum i post, theres no such rule, but the signatures are becoming ridiculous, take mine for example:

    Looks good don't he?

If there will be a limit, set it to 244x70.

Big signatures are distractions and make for eyesores. I agree there should be some limit.

yeh, me 2. I agree. There really is no need for such large signatures. small ones would do fine. for example (no offence to anyone) like SDK_TECH (or similar), please reduce the size.

also, try to save bandwidth and having large signatures will take forever for ppl loading the posts if they have slow slow connections.

I recently heard setarip's comments to me and was wondering he wouldn't have said anything if nothing was going on so Iwent over here and read this and I have just gotten rid of my sig. Which I now realize is way to big. My next one will be Techno's size or smaller. Sorry about the inconvience everyone

A good idea is to limit the signature graphic size to button size (88 x 31). As someone who has tried to make buttons before, it is actually very hard to have any detail in such a small sized graphics.

Another problem is if the graphics is too tall, which will mean more scrolling.

Therefore, I think the limit should be 240 x 50.

    Suggestions are welcomed ...

    I think 240x50 - 250-40 should be sufficient
