    command line two pass... possible?

There was divx 3 and only one pass and I was happy! I could do it all in a batch file, rip, convert, ...

Now I'm getting back (slowly) onto the sceen and I'm starting to wonder if windows haven't complicated our world rather than simplify it (unix history ).

Is there a way to set the two passes to be automated. I heared of Gknot but I'm not sure that's the sollution. I use mpeg2avi.

    Any thoughts?

BTW, what's the situation now? Divx or Xvid?

    thx

tools like gknot or even DVX should be able to fully automate the transcoding process.

even job lists are a childs play so running 3 titles one after another is easily done.

divx 5.02 as well as latest xvid builds are both very good and when properly done they are not that much different.

i clearly prefer avisynth and virtualdub based encoding to any other solution and thus gk or rather dvx are my favourite tools.
