    Nero Problem

I just bought a DVD-R burner and it is supported by Nero, I have used the DVDshrink software to break css and shrink the movie. However when i goto burn the dvd nero freezes (note the burn time still ticks over) at 1%, 'writing lead-in tracks'. his is wierd as when i just burn a data dvd it works fine. Any suggestions would be much appreachiated.

The version of nero that came with the bundle is nero express

The burner i have is a TEAC W50E, i am usually reluctant to buy teac stuff but i had a bit of a read around and seen some good reviews, What is your opinionon this burner, the burner does -R/w at 4x, should i have got a +-R/w burner. Is there any difference between nero express and nero burning rom.

i'm more than reluctant to express my opinion on something i havent made own experience with

i personally wouldnt be reluctant about teac in general.

an old teac-scsi burner is doing a fine job for years now in one of my machines and i wouldnt wanna miss the cd writer.

concerning nero vs. express: i have never used express.
could you not simply test a demo version of the latest nero?
