    skipping problem with ac3 movies

    I have a really strange problem: All movies with AC3-Sound keep on skipping (video/audio) during playback. Everything else plays just fine. Even when I play back a DVD (which also has AC3-sound) it works fine. Only Divx/Xvid video with ac3 audio skip.

    I have the AC3Filter 0,69b from http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net installed.

    It is really annoying since everything else (ogg, mp3, wav, divx-sound) plays just perfectly!!!

    Any help is apreciated!!!

      Hi,

      Have you tried some previous version of AC3Filter or perhaps another AC3 decoder (Intervideo, Elecard ...) ?

          If you have WinDVD or Power DVD installed as your software DVD player, uninstall the AC3Filter 0,69b - and use DVDGenie to register the WinDVD (or PowerDVD) filters with Windows.

          Doing this will direct ALL .AC3 playback to use the WinDVD (or PowerDVD) filters, which appear to work properly for you...
