    New to subtitling

    Hi all

I'm very interested in subtitling some raw Japanese anime I have on my computer, but I have no idea where to start. All I have right now are the raw video files, with the possibility of obtaining transcripts soon. I would sincerely appreciate any help in getting started on this project. Thanks

I use Subcreator to subtitle my movies.....

I know there are more capable subbing tools out there,
but I like this one be cause it is easy to use...
there is a little player enhanced in this.... just load your movie into
it play it....with a shortcut you can then ad timestamps to the also
displayed texteditor and then type in the translation (or copy and paste)

if your transscription does already contain timestamps you can also load this... translate it and correct the sync with the blockshifting features......have a try if you like.....

www.divx-digest.com does hold many more subtitle tools in its
    software section.....

    good luck!
