    Help i want to burn some movies

    Hello i am Andre, i have a question aboat burning .avi movies.

    i have a .avi file but how can i burn them on a dvd and play them in the dvd player downstairs ??

    is there a convert program ?
    or is there a burning program to burn downloaded movies ???

    please HELP !!!


    here a did put the question a different way it is for backup puposus m8

        The answer to your question depends on what formats your DVD player can play. Your choices are to convert the AVI file to VCD or SVCD, but you need to make sure that your DVD player supports :

        1. CD-R/RW playback - not all DVD players support this, and if your DVD player's manual doesn't mention this, then it probably doesn't support it

        2. VCD/SVCD playback - check to see which format your DVD player supports - SVCD (MPEG-2) is better than VCD (MPEG-1) since it has a higher resolution, but only Asian made DVD players usually support this format.
