    Unhappy copy protection with rentals

Region protection in all its glory, by using dvd decrypter that is obviously not a problem. But what about any kind of protection with rentals or purchased movies?
I am about to start burning movies and I heard rumors that there is a block that makes it impossible to burn original movies, is this true? If there is a block, what can be done about it? What software?

    regards

First of all, burning rentals is illegal. Secondly, places like Blockbuster Video sell previously viewed movies after several rentals. Once you purchase this "rental" you would be permitted to copy it.

Yes, there is copy protection. It is called Content Scrambling System. This is what DVD Decrypter strips when it rips the files to your HD. Otherwise, you could just copy them using Windows Explorer and would not need ripping software.
