Problems with Pioneer A05 and Nero

I have just changed my mainboard to a ASUS A7N8X-X and since then I have have a lot of problems with my Pioneer A05 drive burning with Nero. Before I changed mainboard I never had any problems !

I am using Nero 5.5.10.20, the A05 drive is on a seperate cable, I am using the same DVD-R media as I used to before, I have firmware 1.33 and the problems occur at both 1x, 2x and 4x speed. Even when I try to test/simulate a burn.

    I get different failures:
    Illegal media
Could not perform end of Disc-At-Once
    Invalid write state

The strange thing is, that nothing has changed exept my mainboard...

The medias are NO GOOD in my A05 or DVD stand alone DVD.

    Any Ideas ??

When you installed the board, did you re-install your operating system or did you simply just whack in the board and let Windows re-detect everthing?

If you did then this could be the problem.
On many occasions devices fail to work correctly once the main board has changed. Changing the mainboard is a major change to the system and a lot needs to be reconfiguired and drivers changed and sometimes this just cocks everything up if you don't do a fresh install of the operating system.

I guess you have a configuration problem, so my advice, if you haven't already done so, is to do a fresh install.

If you have done this already then maybe you either need to update your BIOS and/or motherboard drivers.
