Default NERO 6 - Book Type

    Hello,

    I have one question.

My recorder only records on DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD-Ram formats.

Must i select "Booktype - DVDRom" in nero 6 to burn a dvd movie that i want it to play in DVD stand alone player??!

    Thanks

What do you have, a Ricoh drive?

As far as I'm aware you can only change the book type on DVD+R/DVD+RW disks however you should have no problems burning and playing movies form DVD-R disks anyway.

The book type only works with Ricoh based DVD drives. It changes the a +RW or +R to a DVD ROM. The RW can still be used as a RW disc.

This is handy if the DVD player doesn't normally play DVD+ discs such as my Panasonic E50 Recorder.
