Default Copying VOB files to DVD

Sorry if this has already been covered, but I don't really know what to search for - so I'll explain what I'm after.....

Up til now I've been quite happy decrypting DVDs and creating two CDs from a single DVD; using VCD Galaxy o do the work for me.

Recently I've been backing up DVDs to my hard drive, decrypting them into VOB files ready to work on later - but now I've got a DVD +/- burner (obviously an early Christmas present!) - so my question is this, can I just copy the VOB files back to a DVD and play them through our stand-alone DVD player, or do I need to do something else first (encrypt them maybe?) I really have no idea and DVD blanks are a bit expensive to waste - wouldn't care too much with CDRs!

Any advice anyone could give me would be appreciated.

Merry Christmas to one and all!

A DVD that you can play in a standalone always has:
    Two folders:
    VIDEO_TS
    AUDIO_TS

    followed by:
    • VIDEO_TS.IFO
      VTS_01_0.IFO
      VTS_01_1.IFO
and the BUP (backups there of)
      VTS_01_1.VOB
      etc.

    Vobs alone are no good.
Use DVDdecrypter in File Mode !

Download IfoEdit and recreate the IFO and BUP files. Then burn to DVD.
