    How to create new VIDEO_TS.ifo?

Through my own stupidity, I accidentally deleted the VIDEO_TS.ifo file for my DVD, and I was wondering if there was a way to create a new VIDEO_TS.ifo?

I tried using ifoedit, but it only creates a VIDEO_TS.ifo for the first set of vobs (VTS_01_0.VOB, up to VTS_01_4.VOB).
But it seems to ignore the other vob files (VTS_02_1.vob and VTS_03_1.vob).

Is there anyway to create a new VIDEO_TS.ifo file for all the vobs?

    Thanks in advance.

Make a copy of VIDEO_TS.BUP (a BackUP copy of VIDEO_TS) - and change the name to VIDEO_TS.IFO

Copy the required files from your ORIGINAL DVD...

(If you don't have the original DVD, I have no further suggestions)

Well, I found the original VIDEO_TS.ifo file, and it seems to be able to play with PowerDVD, but now when I try to open it with DVDShrink or DVD2one, I get errors.

Is this because I'm using a VIDEO_TS.ifo file from the original disc, but the VOBs were already compressed with DVDShrink?

It won't work correctly because the sector addresses and pointers have changed in the new VOBS.

You could try updating the sector addresses by using 'GET VTS secotors' in IFOEDIT, but I'm not sure if it will work.

If it plays OK in PowerDVD then it may work in your DVD player.

Why do you want to put the re-encoded VOBS into DVDshrink anyway?
