    "Unknown File Format"

    Dell Dimension 4100 Syatem

Installed a Buslink Dual Burner model: DVD 412D that came with Roxio CD Creator Basic 6 DVD Edition & Power DVD software.

When I try to view a commericial movie I get the error message "File Format Unknown"

Also edited a movie in Pinnacle Studio 8 & get same message when trying to view in Power DVD.

Installed burner in D: drive bay, which forerly had a CD Rom Drive.
My E; Drive has a CD burner.

Also when I go to MY Computer it list D: drive & E: drve as CD Rom drives, shouldn't D: drive be listed as a DVD rom drive?

    Any help would greatly appreciated.

How are you trying to play the DVD in PowerDVD?
The DVD should play automatically when you start PowerDVD or insert the disk in the drive.

Were you attempting to play this edited movie from your hard drive?

If not, try doing so - does PowerDVD still generate the same (or other) error message?
