I want to play a divx dvd movie on my home player - can it be done and how

    Hi,

I am a newbie and ive just completed my first divx movie , Toy Story 2 , it is almost perfect , a 3.8 gig movie compressed to 650 meg .I am extremly pleased with the quality it has an autorun menu and plays on my computer system flawlessly .

However it will not play on my apex home theater system , is there anyway I can get it to play on my tv system .Could I leave off the autostart menu and just put the avi on the disk and get it to work .

Is the problem that the dvd player doesnt recognize the divx412codec , If so is there anyway to flash the player to alow it to recognize the avi file .

Is there a home dvd player out there that recognizes divx movies .

    Thanks , Sam .

Burn it as an SVCD, not a DivX if u want 2 play on your APEX

BTW- I have an APEX 660, anything I throw at it, it plays.

    SpudsteR out.........

NO! - not unless you have a computer as yer home player - that OR belive it or not PLAYSTATION!!!!! - all you need to do is burn a codec CD for play station (get it off of DC www.neo-modus.com) and pop the disc in before you watch and divx CD
