    Help, cannot convert Divx files

I used to be ale to no problem, now all I get is error messages. I use NTI cd/dvd maker for all my burning and conversion. But that has stopped working. I get errors such as, canot locate codec

I've tried using TMPGEnc and the error message I get there is "cannot open or unsupported"

I've downloaded different codecs to see if that works but it's the same thing.

All these files play fine in my Divx player and ATI player but not in WMP (error downloading codec)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    1) Load the original video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

Okay, first thing, they won't even load into Virtualdub, can't get to the file information, I got the following error message... (word for word)

Coyuldn't locate decompressor for format 'Dx50' (unknown)

Virtualdub requires a video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. Directshow codecs, such as those used by Windows media Player, are not suitable.

"Coyuldn't locate decompressor for format 'Dx50' (unknown)"

You have to download and install a DivX v.5.xxx codec...
