Burning using DVD Decrypter and Shrink

ANyone out there that can help me. I have the most recent versions of DVD Decryter and DVD shrink. After decrypting a DVD in DVD Decrypter, I went to DVD Shrink, it analyzes it, and when I go to back it up, it says "write protect." I have checked all listed write protect removes on DVD Decrypter, but it still says "write protect" Am I doing anything wrong, or am I missing something?

Does this happen with just the one DVD?
In Decrypter, under Tools/Settings/File Mode have you got 'all' files selected, not 'main movie'?
Do you still get errors if you use only Shrink?
This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!

I selected all files. This is my first use of both programs together. I have not tried to use Shrink to decrypt and shrink.

I've not personally come across a disk Shrink won't work with yet but I hear often (and read in the guides) that Decrypter is used for those stubborn disks. I'd try Shrink alone first.

As an experiment, try SmartRipper–it's free.

            To Gmoran

If, in fact, the error message IS "write protect", and NOT "copy protected", you probably failed to place an EMPTY burnable DVD in your burner... (Perhaps you've left the ORIGINAL DVD there)
