How the hell do you join rm files or convert them without making huge files..?

Please bear with me as I am new to this forum today is my 2nd post, So if this subject has already been covered then you will understand why I have no Idea.

I need to know how or even if there is way to join rm files together, and if not is there a way to convert them into a suitable format such as avi,mpeg so as to be joined. any help would be appreciated. THANX


PS: any ideas other than using tinra & stable because they're a pain in the arse..! to use.

TINRA is a pain. You can lower the file size in TINRA by selecting a divx codec. However, on my system I have AV sync problems. vcdhelp.com, under "convert" They have instructions on how to use "EO video" to convert rm to your desired format. If you convert to divx avi or mpeg you can join the files. For mpeg I use TMPGEnc, for divx avi I would use Virtual Dub.
