In order to play this file, you need to upgrade your media player to a version compatible with Windows Media Rights Manager V7. Select View Compatible Players below to see a list of compatible media players.
If your current media player does not have a Windows Media Rights Manager V7 compatible version, you should select a different player with the Windows Media Rights Manager V7 identifier.

It seems that you have windows media player 7 .The version you have is not compatible with windows media player rights manager 7.
    To see this go
    >View
    >Compatible Players
    >There you'll see a list of compatablile media players.

What i recommend is that you upgrade to windows media player 9.

              Hi suzana,

One of my favorite folk songs is Suzzana.

Anyhow, have you updated your XP system yet with the media 9 codec package from windows. If not, all you have to do Is:

Click Sraer in bottom left corner of screen, "Hover" the mouse "pointer" on all programs (directly above Log Off), and then (after program menu opens) click on Windows Update. This is of course while you are "on-line".

The Windows Update" proggie will take you to Microsoft.com and then Microsoft will scan your system and provide a list of software updates. If you have never used this feature before (as so many haven't), you may find an update entitle Media 9 codec update package for your player.... along with a lot of other updates which you can download and Windows will automatically install for you. The site is a secure connection.

Most computer owners aren't aware of this update feature, but could solve your problem.

Keys are sticking and reading glasses arm broken :

2nd paragraph : Anyhow, Sraer Is START. Also, if you Xp system is 2 years old and you don't have it, you should download SP-! (be aware if dial-up SP-1 could take 10 hours or more to download and install).

Your first post said the file as AVI, but the last one says it is ASF or WMV. Which is it? Also, if you have all the correct codecs to play AVI files (e.g. DivX and XviD), then try using BS Player.

See if installing the video filter FFDShow can help.

ffdshow will probably help but still it seems that there is a multimedia problem. You might give a look to your settings and see if you have anything disabled.

If you used powerdvd and still no playback ,quote the error here.
