    DivX to DVD Disc problem

    Hello,
    I'm a newbie and have a problem:

I want to transfer all my Divx movies to CD (DVD discs) but want to keep them in their DivX formats, also to save space.

I have a Waitec DVD player that plays practically every format on the market, including divX, Xvid, etc.

Some of my movies work when I copy them as simple DATA on a DVDRW CD, but often I get stopped images, that freeze when movie action is too fast (sound continues but movies stops)

Is there any program I can use to make sure this won't happen again?

And: in what format can I be SURE that this won't happen?

Am I forced to encode all DivX to DVD standard movie?

PS: I want to thank ORMONDE for answering me, and want to tell him that I tried using a better DVD media (a TDK disk) but I get the same problem...
So I must ask again: is there ANY way to copy DivX or Xvid from the net to a DVD TV reader without the risk of getting badworking videos?
    What am I doing wrong?
Should I encode all videos to DVD format ?

    Thanx again to all
