Flask.. AVI Output vs. OpenDML Output

Hey guys.. I been encoding from vob to divx by means of 2 pass encoding (Flask.6)with excellent success. As of recently, when I try to flask it in 'AVI Output' like I used to, I get no output sound even though I select the mp3-lame codec. I tried it over in 'OpenDML Output' with the same audio codec and it encoded normal like it used to. Is there a conflict with the codec(s) that is causing this? Also if any, what are the advantages/disadvantes of using OpenDML vs the normal Avi Output in Flask6? Will there be a difference in quality-size when using the same bitrate configs?

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the help guys. Email me if possible.

AFAIK this is usually caused by a conflict between mp3 audio codecs. But if it works with OpenDML avi, you should consider yourself lucky and use that.
The difference between OpenDML and the old avi format is that OpenDML supports avi files larger than 2GB. Quality wise there is no difference.
