    DVD to HD (DVD Media Center)

    Well I did a quick search and didn't come up with anything but this type of thing must have been discussed before. I must not be searching the right thing...

    Here it is;

    Hard Drives are so cheap these days, is there an easy (or moderately hard) way to create a DVD Server. Essentially make perfect copies of DVD's into a file / directory and then play them back either streamed or directly connected?

    Thanks for the thoughts,
    Jeff

    So nothing?

    Darn this seemed something that would be nice to have. Well if anybody runs across something let me know.

      Any content that's going to be streamed, you're going to have to compress. You simply can't stream a 4.7 gig dvd very well, there's too much data to process, and even a moderatly high bandwidth connection won't work. Most streams are either .ra(m) or .wmv/.asf
      Check into Windows Movie Maker 2.
