        Yeah, you finished it...

        Thats MPEG4 encoding @ its best !!!

But as the filesize is "only" about 3204 MB, there is still something to improve...

Maybe a higher resolution or a different CQM ???

        Probably both...

Btw, where is the old thread left ???

        Cant find it anymore...

        Bye

Yeah I thought so, the problem is that everyone has the same files in their folders and don't want to mix them. But don't worry if somebody asks for it i'll give out all the files and info they need.

The thing i don't get about these is that, they are nearly the size of the dvd itself, so why have an encode with them??? mpeg4 is supposed to be compressed about 6 times that of the DVD. And also something like 544x304 (although i have mine at 480x268).

The goal is to fit the movie on a single disk...

Keep in mind that most DVD movies are bigger than 4.5 GB !!!

Also I have to say that Im a HQ freak...

Even the original DVD itself I wouldnt consider as HQ !!!

I wont compress a movie more than 25-30 % using XviD...

Compression ratios of 50% (or more) and resolutions lower than 720* hurt my eyes !!!

And I upsize the resolution only coz I hate the "crappy" fullscreen resizing while playback...

If you are happy with 2-3 CD encodes, good !!!

I wouldnt be happy with such encodes...

Its personal preference as most other things !!!

If you cant see the difference between a 1DVD and a 2CD encode, make 2CD encodes...

                      My 2 cents

                      Bye

                        Hello Soul,

I think that one shares the same idea: the one of quality audio (ac3 bandages original) and the video (high definition Xvid 520p / 720p).
It is indeed a beautiful thing.
But the time is there for many.

                        Matrix2 / 720p Xvid devapi 3: h263 Matrix Fox entertaintement / Avisynth 2.5.5 Rc3 bêta 2 / 4Mbps / Final Size (audio + video) 4.03 Mb (brilliant) / Time: 2 days and 8 hours.

The quality is terrifying. In an word Excellent.

                        Note:
                        Sorry for the translation.
I am not very good in English

However, I have a big respect for the WMV9 format.
Xvid HD against WMV9 HD, a certain advantage for the WMV9.
It recalled me my tests Canopus procoder 2 against CCE 2.67.
or CCE won extensively in fluidity and in quality.
And it is it that I appreciate a lot with WMV: a fine and distinguished picture quality.
Nevertheless my only reproach in WVM, it is the sound track.
it doesn't vie with the AC3 format.
                            What a pity.
                            Long live the High definition
