Change the 'Book Type'

is there a way to change the Book Type of A DualLayer DVD 'DVD +R DL' to 'DVD ROM' so it can be read at any standalone player ?
Do we need to do this manually or the burnner will do itself, when burn a DVDVideo in a DL media?

The burner has to do it. Only a handful can do it. It is activated in the firmware.

Models from Ricoh, NEC and Liteon and a few others can do booktype. This is by either by official or hacked firmware.
