Just curious to all your opinions on the best converters...

I am just curious to what you all in your opinions is the best avi to MPEG1, MPEG2 Converters......based on success, time it takes converting, etc....(and of course, freeware, trias versions always good!) Just curious, thx!

TMPGEnc may not be the fastest encoder. However it's used for 3 reasons:

1) it is free
2) it works---compatible with most divx avi's
3) simple and easy to use (user friendly)
