    DVD Playback Issues

    Hello to all,

My problem is that I have burnt several DVD copies and my DVD player will not recognize them. My DVD player has played DVD-R media before (which was burned my someone else...so DVD player is not at fault).

The burnt copies are detected by my DVD burner which is :
BENQ DW 1620 (loaded the latest firmware).
    Media I used Mitsumi 4x

I used the following software :

    DVD Shrink 3.2
    DVD Decrypter 3.5.1.0
    Nero 6 Enterprise Edition
I have followed the instructions as best as I can from the DVD digest.

I have also included Nero History log :

Any help would be very much appreciated

Don't use the bitsetting on your discs - it's only for DVD+R discs.

    Also try some better media.

      Hello Cynthia,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I just want to make I understand your comments :

Media type: DVD-R "that the media I use"

Book Type request: DVD-ROM - Drive doesn't support changing Book Type for DVD-R
Don't use the bitsetting on your discs - it's only for DVD+R discs.
"So for the comments above I shouldn't chooseBook Type for DVD-R under Burn settings"

Also try some better media."Will try that".

      will let you know results.

      Thanks again

          Thanks for all your help.

I'm currently using Memorex media and I'm currently able to play DVD's on my standalone.

          Thanks again.
