Alrt so I've backed up my dvd and trying to use nero to burn it onto my Memorex Dvd-R disc. But it keeps telling me to put in an empty disc when I try to use the blank memorex dvd-r disc. What could be the problem?

Now i got it to accept the dvd-r, but it's saying that the dvd-video file compliance test failed, and the result might be unplayable. Should I continue?
It's saying that the required files video_TS IFO and video_TS BUF
      are not present

Alrt now I've added the required files, and it's back to the original problem. I have the stock dvd rewritable driver that came with the dell dimension 2400

Are you using Nero Burning Rom to burn?

Are you using DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter to rip?

ty, I was trying to find your burner as we spoke, that is the problem. Your dvd burner is a +R writer. and your trying to burn on a -R. Go out and get some +R disc and you should be ready to go.

Edit 1: DO NOT BUY THE CHEAPEST +R DISC YOU CAN FIND, GOOD, RELIABLE MEDIA IS THE KEY TO SUCCESSFUL BURNING!!
