    New Linux-based Portable Video Player

A Swedish company is selling a linux-based portable video/mp3 player with a 20GB hard disk for $399. It plays MPEG1 & MPEG2, but there is no mention od DivX. I just sent off an email to them asking if they can play DivX encoded video.

Even if they don't currently support DivX, they might if there is enough interest. This could be a good opportunity to get a commercially available DivX player. I'd like to ask everyone to send off an email to this company asking it they support DivX (and if you would buy it if it did play DivX, say so).

You can read an aritcle about this player at http://www.mp3newswire.net/stories/2001/bokks.html -- the company's web site can be found at: http://www.bokks.net/ -- and you can email them at: sales@bokks.net or support@bokks.net

Let's get ourselves a DivX player!
