Burning with the same Media for a while, now it would not burn.

Hi could someone help with this problem i encounter, I have been using Verbatim DVD+R data life 1x-4x media for over the past 6 month and now my burn give me burn failed at 2x. I have a sony external 510oul 4x burner. I use dvd descripter and dvd shrink with the latest nero 666 trial ver. why did it stop burning with with this media? here is the massege

The disks you actually have (the Disk ID) are CMC. They are very poor media.

Look here for some intersting info re Verbatim.

I don't think you can set DMA on with the external burner. This is probably causing the error. Can it be installed on one of the IDE channels?
