    AV capture and video card

I have a P111 pc 256 meg ram, and a video capture card fly video 98 (pci)
    running windows ME.

I only have a AGP 8 megabit S3 trio 3d video card in the pc.

I can capture av PAL video at 320x 240 at 15 frames per second ok
but anything faster or bigger resolution (640x480)
gives a lot of trouble and lock up's.

would replacing the video card with more ram on it (ie 128 meg)be any advantage in being able to capture faster and bigger pictures

    thanks

    Nope.
With that capture card, the only thing that's going to help is a much faster CPU and probably going to NTFS with Windows XP.
Video card has nothing to do with capture rate.
