DVD Shrink and Nero have problems burning with some disks.

I am really frustrated and I dont know what to do. I am backing up DVD's and have no problems with some and have problems with others. I dont know what the problem is but it appears that it is not the DVDs that I am using.

    I am using I/O Magic 16X Dual Format/Double Layer DVD±RW/±R.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? I have upgraded my Nero and my firmware on my DVD burner. I have unistalled other DVD burning utilities such as DVD XCopy Xpress and Sonic MyDVD. I have read other posts and cannot seem to figure what I am doing wrong.

    Here is the log.

This list of nothing but zeroes means that NERO is not recognizing the burnable media.

You might also consider using known quality burnable media, such as Ritek, Ridata, Verbatim, Maxell...

You might want to go to the burner's manufucturer's website and download and install the latest firmware update available for your specific model...

Your burner doesn't like the brand of media you are using. I am guessing its a cheaper brand of media. I suggest in Ritek Ridata brand media or Verbatim media.

Do not change the booktype for DVD-R media. Only for DVD+R media.

        booktype

I am not entirely familiar with what "changing the booktype" is. Do I have to specify to the software what type of DVD media I have. And if so how am I supposed to do this?

also, you have rpassi/veritas (PXHELP20.SYS) driver on your system, which in most cases doesn't work good together with nero.
