    Printable DVD media?

I could not figure out where this question should be posted, this looked like the best place...

I am looking for more media and noticed there is "Printable" media available. Here comes the dumb question of the day....Will these work in any printer that can feed from front to back?

I assume it is a better option then using labels since they can be the cause of a DVD slowing down in the player.

    Thanks
    JT

Could you kindly provide a "Link" or a reference to another source where you found this information?

I'm not intentionally trying to give you a hard time, but you failed to mention the following pertinent information:

"Note: To label the discs, you need lightscribe compatible DVD/CD burners. Please check with the burner manufacturers for compatibility information."

Ok, maybe I totally misunderstood "printable media." I was under the impression that instead of using a paper label these discs could be placed in a regular printer and have the label printed directly on them.
I thought lightscribe was a dvd-burner that actually burned the DVD and provided a laser-scribing.

So, was I off? Or are we talking about two totally different things?

            Printable DVD media

Personaly I use the epson R320 to print my dvd's, I get my disc from Meritline.com. I also use the hub printable DVD-R disc I have used BeAll, Prodisc, and Ritek they all seem to print the same. I have never had any problems with the prints and my drives I have heard that if you use the labels that with the heat they can come off and screw up your drive's, player's, whatever they are in for an extended period of time.

Will I require a special printer, or any Inkjet will work? I have an HP Photosmart 7760 printer.

              Thanks

Yes you would need a special printer. Look up the Epson R300 or R320 you will see. You can get a cheaper one at a Sams Wholesale store for about $85

Thanks, I will look into another (would be my 4th) printer. LOL May try configuring my HP first....

As always, the replies are appreciated.
