    MPC Laggy HD Playback

    Hello,

I have noticed, that when i play hd video (1440x1088, pal 25fps, interlaced, 2ch ac3 audio) in powerdvd, my cpu usage is around 30%.

when i play in the latest media player classic, it is around 96% to 99%. this is using both mpc's codec and ffdshow, all post-processing disabled. i have also tried all output formats (vmr7,vmr9, etc) and still, the best i got was ~90%

what's going on? doesn't mpc take advantage of the graphics card when playing videos?

my pc is p42.53ghz, geforce 5200 agp video card. it is definately not a hardware/dma/drivers problem

    please help!

Have you tried communicating this question to the author of Media Player Classic (NOT to be confused with Microsoft Windows Media Player)?
