    avi and smi

hi, i like to watch anime, and all my anime have avi with english subtitles in smi format. i would like to actually make the subtitles show without the smi format, which i guess means combining the files or rewriting the avi?? anyway, i was wondering how this can be done, and what programs i need to use.

    thank you very much! ^_^

If I understand correctly, you'd like to make the subtitles a PERMANENT part of the .AVI video.

You should be able to accomplish this by using VOBSub in conjunction with VirtualDub...
