    DivX stopping after 1st keyframe

I have a DivX 5.0.1 movie clip that has keyframes every 12 seconds (300 frames).
For some reason playback of the video stops after the first keyframe, but the audio continues.
I've tried playing it in virtualdub but with no success.
However, if I jump the slider along and start and stop playback i can see the frame it got up to.
Any ideas how to fix this?
    Thanks.

    1) Load the .AVI file (DivX-compressed or otherwise) into the most recent version of either VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod

    2) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy"

    3) Select "Check for errors"

    4) Select "Mask bad frames"

    5) Save with a new filename

      OK, am i being stupid?

I opened the file and selected direct stream copy, but can't find the mask bad frames option. also, i scanned the file for bad frames but didn't come up with any.

I've just downloaded the latest versions of both VirtualDub and VirtualDubMod, but still no luck

"i scanned the file for bad frames but didn't come up with any."

"but can't find the mask bad frames option."

It's not active ("greyed out") if the scan for errors did not detect any errors...

"For some reason playback of the video stops after the first keyframe, but the audio continues."

It would seem that you have an incomplete file.

How did you create the file?

Does the original source material exhibit the same behaviour?
