Emprex DVDRW1116IM - Looking for reviews

    Drive: EMPREX DVDRW1116IM
    16X Double Layer 8.5GB DVD+/-RW Drive

Fry's has this drive on sale (or maybe its a regual price) for $49.99
Personally, I have never heard of Emprex before. A few people I talked to who own drives made by Emprex say that they never had problems. However the reviews that I read online are mixed, some people report problems while others say that the drive works flawlessly. Also it seems that Emprex and BTC is the same thing.

Has anyone heard of and used this drive? Are there any known problems with this product and/or reason why not to purchase it? I plan on getting this drive and using it as an external burner by plugging it into a Bytec 5.25" external enclosure via USB 2.0

Just wanted some reviews of this drive before I go and buy it.

    Thanks in advance.

What if its a good drive but not alot of people know about it.
I guess the only way to find out is to try it, I can always return it.
Still looking for reviews from someone who have heard of this drive and/or used it
