Bitsetting - What Is It & Should I do It?

I have seen some references to "bitsetting" and can't get a handle on what it is? Is this something that is good to do? Apparently bitsetting is something you do to your burner?

I use Shrink with a Plextor 708a burner and DVD+R media.

What are the benefits of using bitsetting?

    Thank you.

Read this: http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...threadid=46559. You can change the bookmark of the disc to DVD-ROM which makes it more compatible since that is what most DVD players read as a default disc.
