    Problem burning dvd files with Nero 6.6.0.8

    hi all> i am very frustrated i am trying to burn a dvd with my dvd burner and i get the error message "could not perform start of disc-at-once. Illegal Disc"

    I am using Comp USA 1X DVD-R discs
    I used WinAvi to compile the DVD files.

    If anyone is using the same DVD burner i have and is using Nero 6.6.0.8 with no problems please tell me what media i should use???

    you could update nero. make sure firmware is up to date.

    this is a very poor quality disc, i highly suggest using a GOOD QUALITY disc that is compatible with that burner(see below)

    Normally caused by CD-R or CD-RW media the recorder is unable to work with. Or the media could be defective, dirty or just not compatible with the recorder...

      thanks columbo999. I really appreciate the help. Once i buy new media i'll try the burn again. I also updated my philips firmware to GD30. I'm told this is the latest.

      this board rocks!! after my first post i'm already impressed.
